Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026. This policy explains what Exumo collects and how it handles data obtained through the YouTube API Services.

YouTube API data

Exumo uses the YouTube Data API v3 to look up channels you add and to fetch public video metadata (titles, descriptions, durations, thumbnails, publish dates, and the counts YouTube returns). By using Exumo you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and your information is handled in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.

How we cache and refresh

• We cache YouTube API data only to power Exumo's own search index.
• Cached data is refreshed or deleted within 30 days; stale data that we no longer refresh is removed by an automated sweep.
• We never sell or redistribute YouTube API data, and we never place ads on pages whose value is solely YouTube data.
• Video playback uses YouTube's official embedded player only — we do not proxy, download, re-host, or modify videos or ads.

Your account data

• We store your email, a hashed password, the channels you follow, and basic activity (searches and clicks) to operate and improve the product.
• You can delete your account at any time from your account page. Deletion is immediate, and all of your data is permanently removed within 7 days.

Data from YouTube; Exumo is not affiliated with YouTube. Exumo builds its own search index over a curated set of channels; any Exumo-computed information is our own product.
