🌎 Enjoy Dorodango Anywhere with the “Noriko Method”! 🌍
This is my original method, developed over many years of hands-on research, to make Dorodango accessible even in places without clay-rich soil.
The basic recipe is shared openly and includes enough information to host your own in-person workshops.
⸻
[ Helpful Notes for Crafting Outside Japan ]
Japanese soil is naturally sticky and contains fine particles called silt.
To recreate similar conditions:
・Add a few drops of olive oil to the polishing water
・Use fine sand as a substitute for silt
・Use only clay for the outer layer if sand is too coarse
⸻
[ Try It Yourself! ]
Feel free to gather your own colors and give it a try!
And if you want a smooth start, I’ve prepared a special kit filled with polishing cups I personally tested — each one can bring out a beautiful shine!
I also sell finished Dorodango pieces, so come take a look if you’re curious!
