Our 2nd-hand Z-scale train came with a corroded battery box / controller, so I built a new one. It's built in a classy VHS tape case out of random junk from Ax-Man surplus store, and features a speed control potentiometer as well as a forward & reverse switch. As a bonus, the cats helped with derailment testing and other quality control work!
