Boldin just launched a new Investments feature, and it fixes something a lot of you have asked about: a retirement planner that actually shows your asset allocation.
To test it, I enter a single target date fund, VTINX, in a 403(b). Boldin looks through the fund and breaks the $210,000 into fixed income, US large cap, US mid and small cap, international developed, international emerging, and cash. It does the same thing across every account, so you can see your whole portfolio's allocation next to the target from your risk profile.
I also add VTI and VXUS to a 457(b) to show how multiple positions work. Then I cover what I hope Boldin adds next: a way to set your target allocation directly, and a link between this tab and the return assumptions in your plan. Finally, I compare it to Empower and Snowball Analytics.
I'm already using it in my own Boldin plan. If you use Boldin and haven't tried it yet, give it a look.
