I wanted to see if I could get a photo of the ISS with old camera gear I had lying around. Old lenses for vintage film cameras are often cheap at thrift stores, and I have a 400mm lens with 2x teleconverter that I found for $14.99. I also have an adapter to put it on a "modern" digital camera (Sony NEX-3 from 2010). I also tried a 2x telephoto adapter on my Canon camcorder.

I was able to get a couple images showing the station's structure, although it's still pretty much a tiny blob! I also got some photos of the station crossing in front of the sun at sunrise, which was pretty fun!
