This Gold Deposit Was Bigger Than I Expected

ust two hours of gold panning from the top layers of this deposit produced $255 worth of gold—and there’s a lot more ground here to explore! In this adventure, I come across an incredibly wide, deep and long gold deposit and begin testing it with a gold pan. With so much material stretching out around me, the challenge is working out where the gold is concentrated and just how far the productive gravel continues.
