Design isn’t a straight line. 📐 #recycling

When we started designing our new sustainable sunnies, we figured we knew the drill - sketch, prototype, mould etc. But we quickly realised we were actually doing it all wrong.

Because we can’t manufacture custom lenses at our scale yet, the pre-made lenses we use are the only 'constant'. We had to throw out our initial sketches and design from the inside out - literally building the frames around a 3D lens. The only problem... we didn't have a 3D model of a lens.

Fortunately our friends at @aubinnovation helped us out by turning our 'ghost' lens into a digital model. As always, a big thank you to the legends over at @plasticpreneur for their design wizardry 🤜💥🤛
