In this video, a breadboard is built to interface with an Adafruit GPS breakout board. Because the Jetson UART in the J3 Header uses 1.8V logic and the GPS board uses 3.3V, a level shifter is introduced in the middle of the circuit to arbitrate.

Oh, and we get to check out where GPS satellites are at the end.
