This is part 2 of my attempt to find treasure in my back yard! (Part 1 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxxDdyPW-qg)
Old news articles claim that gold was once found on this very spot! Even if that legend proves untrue, there should still be an old privy or trash pit somewhere in the yard. Those can have all kinds of fun bottles, coins, and other artifacts. Previously when we dug around in the yard, we found coins, bullets, knives, bottles, buttons, belt buckles, and all sorts of neat antique stuff!

Unfortunately, we didn't find much on this try, and the most promising spot is over 5ft deep. I don't want to dig that deep by hand. Perhaps one of the mini-excavator companies like @agt_industrial, @SaferWholesaleCom, @krequipment, @nicosailexcavator, @tmgindustrial4545, @wallemac7778, etc, would consider sending me a cheap mini-excavator to review? I'll promise to destroy my yard with it and do some fun product testing! Then once I've found the buried backyard gold, we can see what kind of damage a mini digger would do at Sandland!

A ground-penetrating radar would also be interesting... I'd love to try building one, but so far none of the DIY projects I've seen ever get quite as far as a finished product. Everyone seems to give up around the 80% mark. There seems to be something about that tech that doesn't lend itself well to home builders.
