A while back a Tesla crashed, caught fire and burned not far from my home. Putting water on lithium fires can make things worse. I recovered some Tesla aluminum parts that were left behind in the clean up about a year later. I needed to remove iron and re-size the pieces to fit my furnace crucible, but there was some nice aluminum. In this video, I will melt them down to make bricks.Aluminum is an important part of modern car construction – there are many pounds of aluminum in all vehicles, but in a Tesla, even more. Battery powered cars need to be light weight. I will recycle the aluminum remains of a Tesla car into a clean Tesla billet bullion ingot that can be turned in for cash.
