Exploring a Poundland inductive Apple watch charger

Internally this charger looks like a tiny implementation of a QI inductive phone charger, which makes sense. The main chip is triggering strong Deja Vu from a previous exploration of a standard QI charger.

The investigation was thwarted by the mystery chip, which may be a microcontroller or may be an ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit.) My guess is a microcontroller with dedicated inductive charging functionality.

That said, the circuitry is interesting, and a useful reference for future designs.

I specifically avoid using intrusive mid-run video adverts for a more relaxing viewing experience.
