What is "sad" gold? Its the end of season nuggets that you find on your last day of prospecting.

The gold you find on the last day of prospecting at the end of the season is always a little bit sad. This spot is a higher elevation location and soon the snow will be on the ground up there, so my gold was the final gold from that spot for 2024.

But really I did well on my last day, so I will for sure be back in 2025 once the weather warms up a bit. Until then I'll do research, look at the area on Google Earth and think about it and make plans for more big gold next year.
