What does it actually take to build and open a gold prospecting shop?
More stock, more hours and a lot more hard work than you might think! In this behind-the-scenes vlog, I’m taking you through the massive job of bringing The Old Mouldy’s Beechworth shop to life—from buying the fittings and equipment to moving stock, unpacking boxes and getting everything ready for opening. Every person involved put in over 88 hours, and this video shows the exhaustion, difficult moments and sheer amount of work behind getting those doors open.
For me, The Old Mouldy is about sharing a passion for gold prospecting, gemstones and the adventure of finding your own treasure. Seeing it all come together means a hell of a lot, especially knowing how many of you have supported the journey. Come along for an honest look at building a small business, the people helping make it happen and what goes on when the prospecting cameras stop rolling. Thanks for helping us get here—and if you enjoy seeing this side of the adventure, leave a comment and subscribe to Vo-Gus Prospecting!
