Finding Roadside Clay in Montana

One of the best spots to hunt for wild clay is right along a road cut, where the earth reveals its secrets. Whether you're near home or exploring afar, there's likely clay just waiting to be found.

I'm currently far from my Arizona home, scouring Montana's landscapes along US Highway 12, and look at this find—a promising vein of wild clay!
