We finally got around to landscaping the edges of the "fish hole" (our homemade garden pond). Having a pond in the yard really brings in the wild birds and animals! The local amphibians also like it, which is great for insect control.
As seen in some prior videos, the pond is made from a combination poly stock tank and rubber liner, with a bog filter, working miniature boat locks, and inverted aquarium. It's over 3ft deep in the middle, allowing our goldfish to overwinter with a small heater/bubbler to maintain an air hole in the ice.
(Our pet ducks & goose get their own separate ponds, if we let them in this one they'd just eat everything and muddy it up!).
I have some build photos of the pond on my website at http://saveitforparts.com/2018/08/20/garden-pond-part-1/
