Beachcombing and Data Recovery on the Mississippi

The Army Corps of Engineers recently lowered the water level in part of the Mississippi River at Minneapolis. This meant that a lot of historic riverbed (and all the trash on it!) was exposed for the first time in 12 years. I was able to get some great footage of various mud, rocks, sand and other exciting things! It was a lot like beachcombing at low tide back home in Alaska, just with more people around!

While exploring the riverbed, I found strange fossil - a flash drive that had been underwater for almost a decade! After cleaning up the drive, I managed to extract a few photos and video from the strange distant year of 2010. If anyone has suggestions on how to find the owner, I'd love to hear about it. The most useful info that was on the drive are photos of the owner's license plate from 10 years ago.
