I Had To Stop Live Streaming My Police Scanner

For the last 12 or so years I've livestreamed the St. Paul police, fire, and public works on Radioreference. Now the city is going encrypted with most of their radio traffic. The days of police scanners seem to be coming to an end, at least in major metro areas that use digital trunking and encryption.

My scanner stream apparently developed a bit of a following on Facebook, and some listeners acted pretty entitled about it! Because of that, I haven't really talked about it publicly before now. It was always a hobby project that I did for free, and I'll definitely miss it.
