Upgrade a Knife with Bottle Tops

Want to customise your Maker Knife by Giaco? Us too! We went with recycled plastic, just like we did before in our HDPE Mallet video.

On our first attempt we used nuts with a similar thickness to the plate to try and keep the plastic a uniform thickness. This worked really well but we didn't get the marble effect that we were hoping for. So we made a custom steel mould and made a thicker block of plastic, which we could slice into blanks to make our custom plate.

We think this turned out awesome and we love that it's totally unique!
