MHD or Magnetohydrodynamic generators are a scientific curiosity. They promise power generation using a fully green, zero maintenance, zero moving part power method. Nothing, but the power of magnetism and conductive salt water. Fish can literally swim through the generator. MHD thrusters are easy to build - I built several referenced in this video.
