I'm sometimes asked about the best antennas and receivers for certain uses, including SSTV. Since the ISS was doing an SSTV event this month, I decided to try out a few different methods of receiving it. I tried both a handheld radio and an SDR, along with several different antennas and tracking styles. Overall it seems like hand-tracking with a handheld radio worked the best!
