This one is a bit random, we've got kayaking, wildlife, caves, etc. (Skip to 3:05 if you just want to see the cave!).
This was a paddling trip on the St. Croix River, along the border of Minnesota and Wisconsin. It's a fun area with a lot of interesting critters, geology, and groundwater. We don't get as many natural caves in this part of the state, but there are one of two along this section that are pretty neat! Supposedly these have been used for everything from Native American campsites to bandit hideouts.
We also saw a mink (7:03), eagles, osprey, herons, turtles, and we even found some snapping turtle eggs! (1:54).
This section of river has several interesting bridges, including a former railroad swing bridge (still in use for tour trains, but it no longer swings). There's also a high railroad bridge and the ruins of an old stone bridge.
We may have more boat trip videos in the future, but we'll be back to projects and DIY stuff soon!
