This is an AvL 1296K "Flyaway" VSAT system, commonly used by the military, news teams, nonprofits, insurance companies, and other groups who need a portable satellite internet terminal. I got it second-hand via a friend in Kansas City, and I'm hoping to use it for some low-earth-orbit weather satellites or other projects.

At the moment I don't know quite how to control the dish manually, so any help or ideas are appreciated! It came with a TracStar controller (the blue kind), and iDirect modem.
