Metal detecting a 200 year old fur trade encampment.

Wow, I found 200 year old artifacts metal detecting! I checked out an old horse staging post, complete with cold storage, chicken coop, corral, orchard, and garden. This encampment would date back to the early 1800s as it is along the Okanagan fur brigade trail. This trail would have been used by trades travelling south from Fort Kamloops to Fort Okanagan (in present day Washington State). This trail was undoubtedly used by the Okanagan people before European contact. It was then used by fur traders and then later, cattle drivers, and gold prospectors.
