Better And More Hackable Than A Baofeng? First Look at the Quangsheng UV-K5(8) Handheld Radio

The Quangsheng UV-K5 can supposedly transmit and receive across a huge range of the radio spectrum, from HF to Microwave. In reality it has a few issues, but it is a pretty neat little unit with some promising features! (This isn't a sponsored review, or even really a full review, just my first look at the thing).

This is also a very "hacker-friendly" radio with the ability to add very powerful custom firmware that opens up a lot of hidden features, as well as adding new features!
