How do volcanoes form gold deposits? I do get lots of people ask me about volcanoes and gold – as if they automatically go together. It’s not a new idea, as even the old timers thought the rounded, blob like shape of many nuggets was due to the fact they were spewed molten out of a volcano. No one believes that now, but many gold deposits are associated with some types of volcanic rocks. Are the Hawaiian volcanoes made of the right type of rocks? We will talk about it in this video.
