No gold placer area is productive forever. Things play out and and your finds become less and less. You've got to get out and explore new places - that is what prospecting is all about. Finding those really rich spots with loads of gold is done though research. Using the research I did, I recently went out and found a rich new gold nugget patch with my metal detector. My research really paid off. If you do it right, your research can pay off too. You need good equipment, and the right attitude of persistence, but you need the right location rich in gold – and for that you need to do your research and homework. Putting in the research and effort to find new gold nugget patches is a lot of work. New places are MUCH harder to find, but the rewards are so much greater!
