This phone was sent to me by @thenervousmechanicofficialpage (thanks!). It's a 1997 MSAT terminal made by Mitsubishi. I wasn't able to get it to do much, so I suspect the service has long since been retired. I did some basic poking around inside to see what the antenna and some of the hardware modules look like. I also tried using it as an L-band weather satellite antenna, which sort of works, but not very well!
