I found an old camcorder tape from 1990, when my grandparents visited us in Alaska. It's an quick look at where I grew up, and why I like boats and building things out of spare parts!

Funter Bay is a historic cannery & mining ghost town with only a small permanent population (when I lived there our family was 4 out of 10 year-round residents). It was a great place to grow up with lots of peace and quiet, wide open spaces, historic stuff to poke at, boats to sail, etc.

For more videos of Alaska history, check out the @Alaska's Hidden History channel. They visit a lot of old ghost towns, mines, and other interesting places in this same region!
