Visiting Baranof Warm Springs In Southeast Alaska

Baranof is a small village in Southeast Alaska built around natural hot springs and a large waterfall. It's a great place to stop when exploring the Inside Passage with a small boat. The community has free private baths and natural springs right next to the river rapids. There's a very nice dock with fresh water available, a picnic area, and a whale research institute.

I grew up not far from here at Funter Bay, but had never visited Baranof Warm Springs before. We stopped here in July of 2025 with our rented 42' Nordic Tug, the Stickeen. Check out my Alaska 2025 playlist for more videos from this trip!
