Checking Out The UMN Bog Trail In Northern Minnesota (Members-Only Preview!)

If you're in Grand Rapids MN the U of M Bog Trail is an awesome short hike. the surroundings are very nice. It's all level and mostly boardwalks so it's low effort. The only downside are the mosquitos!

I've been really into moss lately, especially after going back to Southeast Alaska (where I grew up) and re-visiting some rainforest environments. This bog walk isn't quite as mossy as parts of Alaska, but it's still pretty good!

This trail isn't very well advertised or marked, I found it by searching for "things to do in Grand Rapids MN" (There's also a Grand Rapids Michigan, so make sure to add the MN). The best info I could find about how to get there was from this Google Review: https://share.google/KHznGXDpCgaekeJL9

Once you park, look for the sign kind of hidden to the West of the parking spot, slightly to theleft of the more obvious trail/road.
