In this video we show how to create a ROS node that publishes the odometry of a robot. The odometry is obtained directly from the position of the robot in the simulator, so it is not calculated using complex odometry equations but just using the position provided by the simulator (ground truth).
This approach is useful in some setups where calculation of the odometry is difficult or non existent. It also can be used as ground truth for testing other localisation approaches.
