Would you like to find gold in Colorado? Colorado is a gold rich state that has produced many millions of ounces, and that is why we are taking a close look at opportunities for you to find gold there. Colorado is one of the more productive states when it comes to gold, ranking third, behind only Nevada and California. Colorado has produced a total gold production about 43 million ounces. Placer gold production of about 1.8 million troy ounces has been recorded from 36 different Colorado counties. While most of the gold mined in Colorado came from lode mines, there were some counties with significant placer gold production. This video includes some free prospecting areas which are available to everyone, especially if you just want to go panning.
