In the year 1263 a group of priests reported a miracle had occurred. Their Eucharist bread for Sunday's mass seemed to have turned into blood and was an example of transubstantiation. In truth what had really happened was an example of food spoilage thanks to a common bacteria called "S. marescens" that produces a vibrant red pigment. I can recreate the same miracle by just applying the bacteria to the cracker and waiting.
