This is my first attempt at solidifying sand, which we get from our underground mine at Sandland. I thought it would be cool to either turn the sand back into sandstone, or turn it into building material. While I know we can make bricks or concrete from the sand, I'd like to find something that looks more like a solid, permanent sand castle.

I tried some "normal" additives like Portland Cement and mortar, as well as some "strange" additives like epoxy, hot glue, and... beer? Obviously some of these worked better than others. I tested each mix in a variety of ways for strength, freeze / thaw resistance, water resistance, and fire resistance.

This video might be kind of boring, there are no DIY cannons or vehicles or explosions. Maybe watch it on 1.5 or 2x :-P
