This video shows some of my favorite sources of historic satellite and aerial photos. I'm frequently asked how to find stuff like this, although I suspect some of the people asking are looking for higher resolution data than what's usually available. While you might not be able to track down a person from space (unless you're a spy!), you can find really interesting historic data showing structures, vegetation, weather patterns, and all kinds of other stuff.
