Algae is one of the most successful organisms on earth, and we humans are only just starting to understand its potential in our climate mitigation challenge. We've already looked at several existing applications on this channel, but one that might be less obvious is the idea of growing algae inside the window panes of office blocks and other tall buildings. It turns out it could capture CO2, cool the building interior and perhaps even provide hot water for the occupants. What's not to like? The question is...can it be done at the right price?
