We went out to the Mojave Desert to poke around old ghost towns and mining camps. This is day 1 of the trip, where we drove from Las Vegas to the Panamint Valley. We stopped to visit the underground dwellings in Dublin Gulch, looked for sandworms in the Mesquite Dunes, and set up camp at the old ghost town of Ballarat.
