How To Make A Basic Supercapacitor

Supercapacitors are amazing devices that are known for their incredible power density. But the ones on the market aren't as energy dense as is required for them to out compete lithium batteries. In this video we explore all of the basics of supercapacitor building, from making electrode paints, to selection of current collectors, to measuring the completed cells.

While we only build a very simple cell in the video, the same basic recipe is useful for a variety of chemistries, including those that use graphene and carbon nanotubes.
