How to Test for REAL Silver with Schwerters Solution

I use Schwerters to test for silver. Schwerters (a couple grams of potassium dichromate dissolved in dilute nitric acid) will instantly turn blood red when it comes in contact with silver. The ring box in this video failed the Schwerters solution test and it’s safe to conclude that it (the ring box) is NOT silver, probably tin.
