Mankind has long held crystals as special and precious – but how do they form and grow? Why do so many things form into crystals? Why are they the shapes and colors that they are? There are good scientific reasons for that. In this video we will look at the environments in which they grow, environments where atoms can move, how the atoms come together and assemble as they will. We will consider why the atomic bonds form them grow as they do. We will also look at what makes them the colors and shapes that they are.
