How wide should your highbanker sluice be for fine gold?

Just sharing some thoughts on sluice width. Something to think about when mining that hard to catch fine flaky gold. I never thought about how larger flakes of gold might be harder to catch than the finer specks before, and this might explain why beach gold miners tend to use extra wide low energy sluice box's known as a "beach box".
