Anyone who has been watching my series will know that I do not recommend active management for the average investor. Over-complication of your investments incurs fees that can easily be avoided. But does the same go for institutions? With access to some of the most brilliant financial minds and exotic assets, they have long been involved in active management. But are they benefiting from this technique?
