Pi 4 a Day - Can the 8 GB Raspberry Pi 4 replace my MacBook Pro?

As part of my work reviewing the #RaspberryPi 4, I decided to 'walk the walk' and actually use it as my main computer for an entire workday, to see how much productive work I could do with it instead of my MacBook Pro.
