Why is there so much BIG gold in my pan?

Crevicing for big gold while gold panning on the Fraser river. Pete and I are back at that amazing high bank gold deposit found a couple weeks ago. Today we will be looking for those big pieces of gold that get trapped in the cracks and crevices of the bedrock. Bedrock gold can be some of the best and biggest gold found in a claim like this. Prospecting for gold with friends on a beautiful day is only made better by finding gold. And man did we find gold! Some people will call crevicing for gold "sniping for gold" as you are only taking the best shot at a small gold target. No gold nuggets were found this day, but lots of large gold and gold pickers were recovered from this amazing gold deposit.
