This is an odd device that resembles a metal egg with an illuminated dome that is activated by bumping the unit.
The circuitry is super-simple and uses a microcontroller to detect the operation of a vibration switch and turn on what appears to be a conventional NPN transistor to light the LEDs. The use of a microcontroller means that it is easy to add a time delay to automatically turn the egg back off again after about six minutes.
