The Sentinelese are an indigenous people who inhabit North Sentinel Island in the Bay of Bengal in the northeastern Indian Ocean. They are famous for attacking anyone who gets close to their island and not shying away from going all the way to protect their land and themselves. But have they really never been contacted? Why are they so hostile towards any stranger? In this video I explore the reasons why, reaching back to the 1800's, during which Maurice Vidal Portman did unspeakable things to them.
