We refused to ignore this packaging problem

Sustainability isn’t about being perfect. It’s about paying attention to the bits that don’t sit right.

We’ve been rethinking one part of our manta boxes and using it as a chance to move closer to 100% plastic-free packaging, rather than defaulting to what already exists. We firmly believe the box itself still matters. It adds value, encourages reuse, and helps something made from recycled material feel worth keeping. So the goal isn’t to remove it, but to improve it.

With the help of our new xTool P3 from @xtool.official, we’ve been able to prototype a new insert in-house using scrap cardboard we get delivered to us from plastic donations and online orders. It protects the product while removing unnecessary plastic. This is the first step in a developing idea, but we think this has potential for sure.
