Maiden Voyage. Early Spring Day on the Bow River with a 60/40 Jet Outboard Jon Boat.

Hello everyone! This was the first test of a 16 foot long Jon Boat powered by an Evinrude 60/40 Jet Outboard. We put in on the Bow River in Cochrane on April 07 2021. I have personally never seen the water this low, it was running at just 59CMS out of the Ghost Dam.

I wanted to do a run up the river with a friend there to help me out in case I got stuck in the shallow water. Overall it was a great test and a good way to practice for gold mining later on this year. We finished the day with a campfire and some smokies to eat.
