I tried out the Itehil water purifier to see if it could improve my drinking water at home, both from the tap and from my rain barrels. I sent the water through a series of scientific(ish) tests and it looks like the filter works pretty well! (Note that I am not a real scientist, and if you want to test your water you should probably use a professional service!). The filter seems to take out chlorine and sanitizers from the city water, as well as algae and microscopic "critters" from my rain barrel water. The purifier has a built-in battery for use while camping or in emergencies, and it also has the option of a solar panel to work fully off-grid!

You can find the Itehil water purifier here: https://itehil.com/products/itehil-self-pumping-outdoor-water-filter?ref=gknsfjre&variant=42420407763112

This is a sponsored review, but I tried to show all the pros and cons of the filter. The only downsides I could find are the plastic shell seems a little thin. Itehil said that they made it thin and lightweight on purpose to keep it very portable. The solar panel (optional extra) is actually nicer than a lot of other solar panels I've tried out! And the filter seems to work decently well with every test I tried. And yes, I did drink the scummy barrel water after it had gone through the filter, and it tasted great!
