Hydrogen jet fuel - is this the future of aviation?

Green hydrogen is in the news more and more these days, and it certainly looks like being an important part of the 21st Century energy transition. Powering planes with hydrogen is a complicated business though, and most industry commentators predicted it would be 2050 before we saw a commercial hydrogen powered plane in service. But industry giant, Airbus, have just smashed that assumption with an announcement of three concept planes that they claim will lead to a 2035 commercial aircraft launch date. So, can they do it?
